Who You Talk To

There are two sides to this process. First, Filledannounced Roofing takes your request and gathers the basics. Then an independent roofing provider from our network takes over. That provider inspects the roof, writes the quote and does the work.

The provider is the one you hire. Ask them for their company name, license details and proof of insurance. Write them down.

What Happens After You Reach Out

Here is the usual path:

• You share your location, roof type and what is going on
• We look for a local provider who handles that kind of job
• The provider contacts you to set up a visit
• You get a written quote to read on your own time

Provider availability varies. Some can respond quickly. Others may need a few days, especially after a big storm.

Safety Do and Do Not

Do take photos from the ground. Do move cars and patio furniture away from the damaged area. Do keep kids and pets clear.

Do not climb onto a wet, icy or damaged roof. Do not pay in full before work starts. Do not sign anything you have not read.

What to Ask a Roofing Provider

Ask before you sign. Good questions include:

• Are you licensed and insured in Maryland?
• What materials will you use, and what brand?
• Does the quote cover tear-off, cleanup and disposal?
• How will you protect my yard, driveway and attic?
• What is the payment schedule?
• How long should the job take, and how will it fit around our daily routine?
• What care does the new roof need after you finish?

A clear provider will answer plainly. If you feel rushed, slow down.

You Stay in Control

Nothing about a referral locks you in. You can compare more than one quote, ask for changes or say no. Costs vary by roof size, pitch and materials, so always get the numbers in writing.
